Small plane crashes near Boise Airport, no fatalities reported

BOISE, Idaho — Emergency crews rushed to the scene around 6:40 p.m. after receiving reports of a small plane crash near the 5000 block of West Victory Road, just outside the Boise Airport.

According to initial reports, the aircraft remained largely intact, and no smoke or fire was visible at the crash site — a rare relief in what could have been a far more serious situation.

Authorities quickly secured the area as investigators began assessing the scene.

An experimental Kitfox Series 7 Super Sport, kit built by Michael W. Verzwyvelt, N14PM, force landed short of runway 10L at Boise Airport (BOI/KBOI), Boise, Idaho. The aircraft clipped a vehicle before coming to rest at W. Wright Street,near the intersection of S. Orchard Street and W. Victory Road.
One occupant suffered major and one minor injuries and the aircraft received substantial damage.
